I have with epsxe and syphon filter, when i press "start" in the game to access the menu, i can see the menu but the game crashes, and i can't do anything in the menu !
I'ts always the same problem with all GPU and SPU

Try pressing F4? I don't know if it would work in your case, but it helps with random freezes in other games.
