I was wondering if the emulator is compatible with Windows Server 2003 as an OS? Because if not that obviously answers my questions as to what the problem is with my epsxe... I recently switched over to this OS and found that I was unable to use the emulator as I am cursed with the dreaded 'crash as soon as you try to start any game' bug.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I would hate to have to switch OS's again! :)

If my OS is not the problem then I can move on to trying to figure out what is holding me back.

Thanks for the prompt reply however I did already try that. I'm having trouble with it actually. I tried to do so in the command line using prompts and got nowhere. Then I found DEP settings in 'control panel -> system -> advanced -> performance settings and have the following options;

'Turn on DEP for essential windows programs and services only'

'turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select'

It was on option 2 and I indicated to not use DEP for epsxe.exe but that didn't fix the problem so I tried the first option but it says I have to restart for changes to take effect, and every time I restart it defaults back to option 2!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I tried throwing 'zlib1.dll' in my main epsxe folder as well but to no avail.
