I've recently struggled with getting some games to work with emulation, but have in each case found a combination of plugins, settings and emulator that work (for as far as I've gotten in each game). Three are RPGs (FF8, FF9, Chrono Cross) and one is stealth-action (MGS).

I thought I'd post my configs here for the benefit of others having problems with those games.

In each RPG I've played through:

- FMVs
- Scripted 3D engine cutscenes
- Field map
- World map
- Battles
- Menus

which should cover most of the problems people have had. I haven't gotten far enough in any of the games to switch disks, so that's an issue that's yet to be resolved; I know some games have problems when switching.

actually i dont really recommend the MGS one, i dont like the results of MGS with OGL2 (i prefer OGL).

a Chrono Cross one is coming, i left my Dex Drive at home when i moved :hdbash: and i keep forgetting to bring it back (i'd like to use my new game+ which has 3 previous games on it kthx). i was planning on starting that one but uh...

basically, i'll let you copy your exact posts from this thread into their respective game thread. as for Chrono Cross, make a new thread that i (and others) will add to later. call it something like "Chrono Cross OGL2 config" or somethign along that line.

and on that note, this thread is closed. if i didnt make something clear just PM me.
