I don't think that could be caused by an emulator like Nosgba.

Check the sources where you got your emulator, scan with antivirus.

On the other hand, check your hardware if overheating, though that is not caused by an emulator, sure is something else.

Yeah it's not the emulator's fault. My guess would be either overheating as already suggested by Silenus or a dieing PSU or bad RAM or perhaps another faulty component.
Nothing we can do to help you with such issues though.

Assuming you have XP, this will make your computer display a blue screen instead of restart. You can then google the error you get. Typically its a driver problem.

Right click My computer-->properties-->advanced-->startup and recovery (settings button)-->uncheck automatically restart.

If it still shuts down, chances are it is a hardware problem as was suggested above.

BSoDs can also indicate a hardware problem.

Try using Speedfan or Everest to see if it's a temperature problem, as suggested above. Good luck! :D
