problem with epsxe

when i play a game for example vagrant story,and i press escape it goes out to the menu then i try to continue the game and i get an error and i cant continue the game only if i start the emulator again now with this game its not a problem but it will be in multi disks games
anyone knows whats the problem?

What error do you get?

Could you post the program which caused the illegal operation (on the same messagebox). Also could you post your computer specs, graphics card, etc... so we could all help you a bit better.
