i was wondering if there's a way to make the ePSXe emulator to read the ps game from my brother's pc cd-rom device by network.
something like this: "\\<my brother's pc name>\d" instead of "d:\"

Well you might actually find that 4x runs the games BETTER than a 52x. This is because a real psx has a 2x drive and a 4x is a closer match than a 52x. Pete's cd plugin has a slowdown option for this very reason.

Yup,4x is better for PSX emulation if you don't want any trouble, but the best solution is to make an ISO in order to play from the Hard Disk, much faster and not any errors:) .

It'd be better to put it on your own HD. And yes I use Pete's CDplugin1.6 to slow my 32x drive to 2x.
