Right i have all the plugins possible as i donwload this huge plugin pack which includes of of pete's oulgins and stuff. After trying many possible combinations i still get nothing but a pitch black screen which freezes become "non-responding". I only wish to play one game which is final fantasy 8. It is the orignal game, not a copy or an iso file. When i insert it into the pc drive, a window pops up to show the contents of the drive letter but there are no contents available to explore. However i have got this game to run before using ePSXe and its been fine, but after system rebots i now face difficulties. Please someone help me i don't know what else to try. If its any help i do get an error message when i go to configure something "outofsync.bmp", don't know if that means anything to you?

Anyway my system specs are

512mb ram
60gb hardrive
ati radeon 9600pro 128mb
Direct X 9c

if you had performed a search before asking, you'd have found something like this .

Regarding the black screen, is your copy of FF8 pal? (It should say so in it's case). If it is, you need a ppf patch to overcome the piracy protection, get it here. Place it in the patches folder, or google something called ppf-o-matic, make an iso of the game, and patch it in order to play. The iso will give a better gaming experience, so i suggest using that way.

yuck, a plugin pack? the best advice is to only download the plugins you need. just by being in the folder, some plugins can cause problems with each other. also, you may get the problem that I-Chan linked to (and you are experiencing).
