I was just wondering, does my 230W power supply crank out enough juice to power the athlon? i'm just using a CD reader and one hard drive as well as a case fan. oh, and the mobo too.

I'd say you should be ok with that. Some of Amd's recommended psus are rated lower than that.

Just to be on the safe side.. Get atleast a 300w PSU.. A lot of instablility problems are because of having too much peripherals without enough juice for them all..

yeah, add more pheripherals like a cdrw and a couple of HD's .. etc. and it probably won't be able to handle it.. but for not.. i think it's still okay..
