Hi,
I was wondering whether your approach on emulation was based on XBE to EXE conversation or emulating the xbox hardware in order to run the original xbox OS and games through this.
I'm asking as I was hoping that xbox emulation could once work on Linux, too, or being ported even further.

I just thought that it might be easier to emulate, or maybe even virtualize the hardware of the xbox or what the xkox kernel 'sees' of it an than run an unmodified version of it. To me this approach sounds less complicated than re implementing the whole operating system. I however am not quiet sure how it's done right now, thus I'm asking.

I may be wrong but IIRC then BlueShogun96 - who is one of the main authors of Cxbx - is also working on another xbox emulator called xenoborg that does the whole hardware emulation thing. The problems for (I think) both approaches is that much of the custom xbox hardware (the xbox is not *just* a pc) has little or no documentation. Cxbx seems further along to humble me however I'd like to see where xenoborg leads.
