Hi, I'm trying to erase my pokemon platinum game to start a new one, but I don't know how.

I press up+shift+x buttons like it says, but it just takes me back to the title screen as if I had only press the x button.

Help Please!

Press the "New Game" button in the Continue Menu.

But unless I erase the old game then It won't let me save the new game.

Well, delete the .SAV file of the rom (but backup it if needed!) and you're done.
