I have just beat the Elite 4 and so once I am in the hall of fame place it makes me autosave in the game. And whenever it autosaves in the pokemon game itself it locks up and freezes. I am stuck here and can't do anything else because I can't get past it saving. Can anyone please explain to me how I can have it save in the game or anyway I can skip this part?

Unfortunately, there may be nothing that can help you salvage the game at this point. All available methods need to be done at the beginning of a game. The one thing you can try is going file->export->gameshark save and then importing that save after you change your save settings and reopen the game.

Pokermonhacker I tried to upload it but it says its a unsupported file type and won't let me. If you know a way I can go around that I will still post it for you.

In order to upload a savestate to the board, you have to zip it first. If you have webspace from your ISP, you can upload it there and then link to it.
You could try changing the extension of the file to .txt or .zip or something and see if that will fool the board into letting you upload it.
