Hello everyone, i am playing pokemon emerald on vba 1.7.3L and when i get in battle and use move I can't see moves that I use. I can only see pokemon getting damage but when I play a link battle with my sister I can see moves!
anybody know the solution?? tnx

interesting issue,... verify that filtering is not enabled and that frame skipping is not too high.

Is filtering disabled when is set on normal beacuse I can't see anywhere disable option. As for frame skipping, it's set on 2 and I don't think that is too high.

Have you been relying on save states?

well,... when I am about to stop playing I make save state(shift+f5)and I close emulator.does it has something with my problem?

Potentially. especially if you've moved the states between a link version and a non link version.

I don't see how over-reliance on save states would cause this Squall, though I never used VBA-Link back when I played Pokemon Emerald, I used the original VBA 1.72 and I used only save states (aside from of course before the Elite4 battle) and I never experienced anything like this.

Difference in GFX states between link and non link versions. but yeah, im really reachin here... i got no idea why the graphics would be playing up like that unless the rom or save corrupted somehow.

I haven't moved save states between link and non link version because when I tried that in past it didn't worked, so I don't know how.I tried deleting my save and starting a new game but it didn't work too.

Delete the vba.ini and see if it works fine from defaults.

I deleted vba.ini and still it doesn't show moves.

Then the issue is not the emulator, your game is possibly corrupt.

I figured it out. I deleted my old save(all of them) and started a new game.Now I can see moves!! thanks guys for everything
