Plz. help with vagrant story

I am using memcard image file for the memory file and when saving it says memcard is not inserted correctly.I think the memcard is configured correctly caused i can saved w/ other games.Actually i am not concerned with saving cause i can just use savestate but you know when you store your stuff in the box it will save the game or else you cant store the stuff, that is really my problem.Plz. help.
