Hi, I am a happy win7 x64 user but I was dissapointed to learn that one of my favourite games of all time, Beyond Good and Evil, won't install properly.

I did a search on google about the issue and it seems to be the fact is that the installer doesn't work properly on a x64 operating system.

I thought i post here and see if anyone can find a solution as I have tried everything except installing virtual box and run a virtual win xp to run the game or just installing it to a system running win xp and copy the installed files and the registry regarding the game.

Thank you for your time and big thanks to anyone that tries to find a solution.

I'm glad I have the Steam version then. :D

Although I can't get System Shock 2 to install under Windows 7 x64, unsupported DX6 class. It did install under Vista x64 SP1 and SP2.

I can't install Area 51 on Windows 7 x64, likely the same problem you are having with Beyond Good and Evil on Windows 7 x64.

I consider conditions such as this to be the only time a user should be allowed to download a scene rip, as the installers are almost always 32bit unpackers.

apparently there is a fix for this same issue for the rip release of the game but I cant find a working link for it
