I remember in the nineties a really great playstation advert which appeared on british tv for what I believe was tekken 2 although I might be wrong. In the advert a kung fu film star who is now a real life 70 year old practising master has taught some of his students to translocate. If you have any idea what the advert was for or if you remember it can you let me know because I really want to see it again. Thanks!!

That reminds me of "enlightement" video they put on some demo discs back then, it was 6 mins long though, dont think they used it as tv ad. Sadly it doesnt fit your description that well, but it's the only kung fu ad i remember! d:
