a sudden shutdown occurs about 3 out of 10 times wehn the battle ends - meaning epsxe will automatically exit to desktop
this only occurs after the party's-after-battle-stats menu but b4 the items-received menu OR wehn escaping battles

my system - pentium 3 866, gforce 2 mx, 128 ram no overclock...using pete opengl plugin...can get up to 160+ fps if not fps limit
using NICE configuration

note that the last error msg shown below - "opcode.......".....the figures r random every time

That's weird. I use savestates but I have no problems with ff7 at all

I'm forced to use Savestates and it's working fine for me, too.
And i also tried all bioses I've got and it was working nice with both scph1001 and scph7502.

Don't use Null's Spu plug-in use Prodigy's instead
works in Ff9, Chrono Cross and Ff7 for me.
