Planning to buy Berserk Anime but....

I was doing some hunting on ebay for interesting stuff and I saw this:

http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=41524&item=6387852361&rd=1

It's a nice set of dvd's from the Berserk anime, but when I look at this price, and compare it to other prices (from amazon.com ) this seems too cheap to be true. Can someone help me out with this? Cause if I'm going to buy this I want to be sure it's the real thing and not a ripoff or something.
Any help will be appreciated :)

His rep on ebay seems to be good (no idea how trustworthy those ratings are), but I'm not sure if it really matters right now..

Yeah I know the bidding has ended but he sells more of em :p

About the rep: That's okay, but the thing I can't understand is:
when I look at amazon.com I see dvd's of about 3 episodes being sold for more money than this one on ebay. There seem to be multiple versions of a set which contains all 25 episodes oO
(which is really confusing me)

What you're looking at is the Hong Kong pirated DVDs. The covers of the DVDs gave them away. Plus the fact that the series is 6 DVDs long not 3 DVDs. They are not the official DVDs released by Media Blasters.

If you want the real deal, like I said before, there are officially six Region 1 DVDs. Check out the following link if you want to know what the official covers look like:

This one explains the Hong Kong VS. R1 DVDs:

EDIT: I found a seller on Ebay who has the real R1 DVDs:

Thanx a lot netghost :D
That's some great info you have, thanks for clearing things up :)
Too bad most of the sets on ebay are region 1, while I live in EU (don't even know the region number)

I think I'll go pay a visit to some anime shops with a friend of mine to get a copy which is guaranteed to work.
Thanks again, that's all I wanted to know :)

Since you live in the EU, your region code would be "2". Actually, you share the same region code as Japan, so you're in luck! You could probably play the original, region-encoded Japanese DVDs on your DVD player.

On a related note, do you have a region-free DVD player? Then, you wouldn't have to worry about the region of your DVDs (I think). Hence, you could probably buy the American R1 release of Berserk.

Back on topic, the original Japanese box set of Berserk is a little more difficult to find. You might, as you have suggested, take a look at anime shops around your area or might have to buy from Japan directly through online anime stores based in Japan.
