Definitely not emulation related, but I know there are a few gear heads around here...

Earlier this week, a radio announcement was made that a local Chevrolet dealership was getting a 2010 Camaro RS in for public viewing. When it comes to muscle cars, I don't care for the V6 models at all, but I figured I could at least sit in it and get a good feel for what the SS was going to be about.

Well, much to my surprise there was also an SS prototype there on display. While no one was allowed to test drive the prototype, you could sit in it and mess around with the controls and take photos of course.

Sitting in this beast felt very similar to my own car (2000 Camaro Z28). A few of the general knick-knacks and creature comforts have been moved around, but otherwise was very similar to to last model versions.

Well, enough typing for now. Here, have some pics. :)

I did. They were just kinda' boring in comparison since body shots are available all over the net. I suppose I could post them as well...

Nah. I'm more than qualified. ;)

In the last pic, you can see the reflection of the silver Camaro RS. At 3:00pm they began allowing test drives of the RS, but as I mentioned before, I have no interest in the V6 version. That and there was a huge line of people waiting for a test drive. Hell, my original purpose for driving out on a Saturday afternoon was to pick up some hot dog buns from Food World. Stopping by the dealership was, uh, secondary. *cough* :)

Apparently, they will be getting the actual production model V8s in about 3 weeks. I'll be sure to stop by and test drive one then. Maybe they'll even let me take it for an extended spin around town. So long as I have enough time to shoot an amateur porno on the hood of it...

Looking at my local hi-res images, I noticed that this line of Camaros is still being produced in Canada, just like mine.oO

That car looks mean.

btw

The V6 version may be the years hottest ticket....306 hp is nothing to laugh at
Whoa, what are you saying Phil? oO Step away from the V6...

No doubt the V6 will sell quite well, but I'll still be laughing at their "meager" 306 hp. Me and my 440 horses, mwuhahhahahah! So long as I'm not doing my evil laughing while standing behind my car. I've got no catalytic converters. +1 for global warming. I'm doing my part. I want beach front property, dammit!

I prefer cars that don't bankrubt me by leeching gas...

Besides, what would I do with +300 hp when I can't even take advantage of them, f****ng low speed limits... But I have to say I've always loved how the muscle cars look, but just that won't make me buy them.

I see your Camaro and raise you

GT500? No thanks. Something about the new mustangs just feels really... off when I drive them. They feel like they have worse handling over the original 60s - early 70s models.
