i am using pcsx2 0.9.6 at this moment i was using i do not know my computers specifications (it doesn't say) but i know the make which is HP Compaq dx2250 microtower ( its windows XP) it does not support direct x 10 , sse 3 and 4 it has pixel shader 2.0 also while playing persona 4 the fps is usually 8-20 fps and if iam lucky it's 20- 30 fps (extremely lucky).

While playing the game ive realised that although the fps was 16 the cpu was 61%.

i have found some information about my computer specs id don't know what is required:

Processor: AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 3600+
version:x86 Family 15 Model 79 Stepping 2
current speed: 1990 MHz
cache size: 256 KB

ican someone please tell me how to make the game faster i do not mind if the gamesgraphical quality drops thank you

memory
Maximum capacity:4.00 GB
Installed memory:1.00 GB
Memory Slot 1: 1.00GB

This is the current configuration i am using for pscx 0.9.6:

The only way you're going to get faster speeds on that rig is to use PCSX2 Beta.

I highly doubt you will ever reach fullspeed, but you should be able to improve your framerate by a good amount by utilizing some of the newer speedhacks.

Try r1888. It's not as stable as 0.9.6, but I've gotten way better speed playing P4 with that, plus no longer requires deinterlacing. There are still some monsters that will drop the framerates like crazy, so switch to native resolution when you encounter those.

Hmm, I can savestate with no problems. Maybe you have somehow acquired conflicting plugin versions. Have you tried with a clean r1888 install?

And uh... I don't think you'll achieve bearable speed with that procie (and we don't know your graphic card either) at most you'll get maybe 40FPS with all speedhack activated which may break the game.

You should probably figure it out... it's kinda' important.

Start > Run -or- Windows key + R

Type "dxdiag" (without quotes)

Click the display tab and either post a screenshot of it or list off what it says.
