What is the best way to setup/config my PCSX2 for my new build

intel 3.23ghz Dualcore
Geforce GTX 260
6GB ram
XP 64bit
PCSX2 9.6 (and odd blue logo beta that i haven't messed with much)
Use and love lillypad
I need help with sound quality for the metal gear games
need help on errors with kh2 i get virf1

i am extremely noob when it comes to ps2 emulators so i'd love some help on little things like good patches/plug-ins and just a decent way to set everything up. tried for a few hours and can't get it to look like others. Well thanks in advance

well thanks but thats the first thing i did when i got it. it helped a lot but now i need to kick out the kinks like i can't hear snake talk in mgs3 and i get error vif1 in kh2 and just simple tricks to speed things up a bit i get 60fms but i constantly get "not enough data can be transferred" and i get a blank screen with music. so i know kinda the basics i just need help with patches and tricks
