PCSX2 Problem with FFX

Hi, I have a question. I am using PCSX2 0.9.6 and am playing FFX. I am at the Al Bhed Home, and just after I go into the summoner's sanctum, PCSX2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. Here is the error report:

AppName: pcsx2 0.9.6.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: gsdx-sse2.dll
ModVer: 1.0.1.9 Offset: 0026021d

I'm not sure why this is happening, the game has been working fine up until now. I tried using different graphics drivers and different settings, but I am still getting the same error. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks

I have a crash at another time in the game too with the same dll problem on 0.9.6. on which post, can you please give a link?
Hi, I found the answer in the thread entitled [PIC]FFX crashing on same place.

The answer for me was to speed it up to 2x in the speed hack, and I got right through it. If that doesn't work, try disabling and enabling different speed hacks and see if that works. Hope this helps

i have found another answer. this only applys to indivuals with beefy systems. if you change the cpu settings to normal (render as fast as possible) and set the custom frames to 150 and all other options to 0. doing this make the game render so fast that it doesnt register as much of the (what im going to call a polygon hence forwth) glitch. but allowing it to be set any higher or lower causes the polygon glitch to get processed and thus crashing your system. you still have to save frequently and it will still crash, but it saves you the time of having to switch between zerogs and gsdx.

Also on another note... i played all (seven when i played though it) sections that this polygon glitch occurs. and this seemed to help tremendously. some of the instances i didnt even have to start pcsx2 again. i made it through the whole glitch with some psychedelic rendering in most cases.

i hope that this tutorial has helped some of you.

seeing as pcsx2 is more processor laden then gpu.... its only sound logic to understand that this is some kind of cpu glitch. (spock reference) or that just muscling through it saves you time.

like i said this only worked on my tower. not my laptop.

my tower is:
Core i7 920, gtx 285 and 3gigs ddr3

my laptop is:
turion processor and freaking everything else on the mother board punk laptop POS.

Another nother fix

well it seems that the latest beta of pcsx2 fixes this problem in all of its entirety. build 1190. i am really amazed at these guys. they are freaking awesome at fixing problems, and making my day... thank you.
any of you guys notice the bug whereenemies in battles turn around and you start attacking their behinds
actually i have. but i only notice it with whatever character is in the middle. i havent noticed it with enemies though.

say if you have tidus auron and rikku in your party, and auron is in the middle. during BOSS fights only he would be facing backwards, but still played correctly. using darkbahamut i edited my save and gave him a very low evasion stat and he still evaded some attacks. so this glitch didn't seem to effect actual game play. just makes him look retarded.
