i tried uninstalling and reinstalling the new beta but it gives me the same error, help?

What do you think you'll hide with *****
Try running as administrator
I lol'ed at the ***** xD
Did you migrate all your plugins and your BIOS from 0.9.6 to the beta directory?

and no,i didnt do that,im afraid it might screw something up with the emulator so i did a clean install of the beta :)
the only thing i copied from the 0.9.6 folder is BIOS of course

My point wasn't asking what is the full name or what file is this. The point was that there's absolutely no point of hiding the name even if you downloaded the bios(I'm not saying that you downloaded it)

okay so any solutions?
Did you extract the PCSX2 beta files from the archive into your old PCSX2 0.9.6 folder, or what?

You're not giving us very much information here which is why I haven't responded until now. Many other member won't bother replying either with such little info to go on. :/
Hmm have you specified where the bios is in the config->configure->set bios directory?
That error appear when pcsx2 don't have writing permission(that also will happen if you delete your cards and when pcsx2 try to create them again it will give you an error). That's why I told you to try running as administrator because this "bug" is because of one service on Vista(I think on Win7 too)
alrite,i got it running again, huhu, thanks anyway
