Hello,
I just started looking around at the existing PSX emulators for mac, and PCSX seemed to work just fine, but I'm having issues with ingame loading.
I understand that there are still bugs and no one has been working on it too much, but if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

I'm running it on a G4 ibook with Os 10.4.11.
Basically, I was playing Final Fantasy VIII and some of the random battles aren't loading, which leaves me with a black screen and the music still playing smoothly in the background...

Anyone know the cause of something like this ? Is there anything that can remedy the situation?

Thanks

Alright! Thanks neonblue2 for the tip. =]

Turning dynarec CPU core off did the trick, but now, without it, the game gets choppy as if the disc were going normal then slow then normal. But who am I to complain, this solution is more than enough for me.

One of the things of note would be, playing cards, it's ok to leave dynarec on because the card games will play at normal speed without lag, as for the FMVs and story battles, turn it off.
Maybe that's some of what you figured out.
