PC will not start up - dead MB?
I have a friend PC where she had turned on/off the power bar too many times and the power supply got fried. According to her accounts smoke was coming from the power supply.
I have replaced the power supply, but the PC will not start up. When powered up, I can see the PC fan turn once and then it stops.
There are no error code beeps from the PC speakers
I have taken all the components out, down to the CPU, motherboard and PSU. The PC still does not start up. The CPU fan spins once and then it stops.
The CPU is P3 slot 1 and the motherboard is a Tekram P6PRO-A+.
I highly suspect the motherboard got killed when the PSU got fried and I need a second opinion on this.
