you'll be able to run it, but your videocard will prevent you from cranking up the resolution high. The 9400gt is weaker then the 8600gt which is considered sort of a minimum for pcsx2.

Also your cpu is a little slow to be able to run many games at full speed.

I think keeping your internal gsdx resolution around 800x600 would allow you to run on avearge around 80-90% of full speed in FFX. 2D sprite based games will run fine on your system.
With all the hacks enabled you probably will get 85-100% speed in ffx if you keep your resolution low.

I can run FFX at a steady 90%+ with my Athlon 64 3000+ and GeForce 6600GT. Internal resolution is comparable to my monitor's native resolution of 1440x900.

Configuration of your operating system, video card driver software, and the program itself are all very important factors in getting the most out of your games. You should be able to run the emulator fairly well with your system, so try it out and let us know how it goes!

yeah but you are using frame skip and possibly vu frame skip. Frame skip alone introduces annoying stuttering and audio anomalies into the game and itsn't all to enjoyable. Plus you have every hack enabled and likely EE cycle rate multipliers which also introduce instability in a number of games at lower levels and immense instability at higher x3.

FFX one is the least graphic intensive of the blockbuster 3D ps2 games. You'd always bottleneck your videocard at 1440x900 on the more graphic intensive games.

Even with that I believe you are exaggerating your fps achievements on that single core system of yours. Actually I'm pretty positive.
