So, I can't seem to get Paper Mario 2 running on r4012. This has been going on since r3600's. Any idea how to fix it? All I get is a black screen immediately after it boots up.

if you notice a game is broken, FIND WHICH REVISION BROKE IT. OTHERWISE STFU.

If I were you I would speak to one of the developers of Dolphin with a bit more respect.

His point is actually valid, instead of just suggesting to use an older revision, find out what revision broke the game to begin with. How else are the developers supposed to find out what revision possibly broke the game without some kind of reports to help them?

Well it's not his point that bother me, but the way he write it (though I didn't know he was one of the devs. It also explain the picture)

I asked the same question in multiple similar threads, and the answer I get is always the same - "just use an older version/just use ... instead"

Obviously it irritates me. People are allowed to get agitated. I got agitated. Simple as that.

You are excused, by all means. It IS frustrating. I could browse through a few revisions and figure out which one broke it. I'm currently on a fresh install of Windows 7 though, so i have to reinstall the necessary stuff. The TC mentioned that it started somewhere around the 3600's, which is kinda a weak hint...I would be more then happy to help out. Not right now, though, i'm kinda sleepy here.

ah well... Case closed (for me at least)

The il version (4019) works though I still have glitches (little dots around sprite) the transformations for example when a bridge is built show some kind of backroud instead and when I go paper mode or enter a pipe I get big versions of the heroes sprite still with a weird background. But you may already be aware of it.
