We did something similar for another female member.....the only issue is that for different stars, I need to create an entirely new usergroup just for those different stars

maybe.....but if anything, we will make a generic usergroup for females...

honestly, i dont think new stars (or cat faces) are really needed...
AFAIK there would be only 3 person in the group and will only cause other people asking: "Why does X and X have kittens instead of stars"...

in myopinion, genders shouldnt be separated in two groups...

No offense meant by this, but doing something like that will only just open a can of worms I'd rather leave shut . We already allow custom titles, signitures, banners and avatars which is more than generous. In fact, the only item of group identification left is the stars.

More importantly, in terms of practicality it would create an ungodly mess in the site's grouping structure. That would make it very tricky for us to do any major restructuring in the future.

I agree with beta, its nice how the structure works now and there are already speshil groups for spammers- er high post counts. So get working towards 7,500 posts and you can have purple stars!

yeah i remember looking at those usergroups back in the day when i had administratorial access to those sections and even though it didnt look that hard to make a usergroup, there already were quite a few usergroups and it would just get more cluttered to add more
