I had this problem for a while, seems like no one has answered at all. I'll take a crack at it here, since there's handful of talented and knowledgable fotoshopppers =P

Ok, now my problem is, I can't type chinese language using the font tool. Yes I try and paste it from M$ word. But that makes it look bad because of the BG color (paste in as well). Also I re-install photoshop 4x times at least. Those 3 times I installed along with an option checked off (advanced --> support asian language font). Not to mentioned earlier, I had all the language installed via the control panel. Still I can't paste any words under those new variety of fonts (they had chinese, japanese, etc, etc). It didn't show up as characters but turned out to be a blank space when I paste the text in.

Also there is no *Arial MS unicode* as one of my font selection (don't know why, I used to have that back in M$ paint). Another thing, chinese font pack doesn't really help at all =/

suggestions and opinions are welcome

What version of Windows are you using? On XP Pro you can go into Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> Languages tab -> Text services and input languages -> Details -> Default input language

and add Chinese or any other language, which will make the language bar appear on your desktop... making it easy to switch between input languages.

How to use the Language Bar: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;306993&sd=tech
