In the past 2 days my HD's Raw Read Error Rate and Hardware ECC Recovered both dropped from 66 to 62 (while the "Worst" value is 59 and 58)... is this something to be worried about? (the S.M.A.R.T. values are from SpeedFan 4.20)
My seagate 120GB read 65 from the day I got it and dropped and rose a few points here and there since then. I've had it for about a year now and no problems so I wouldn't worry about it.
That's cool... I was afraid it will just die like my IBM HD
It died 3 times in less than 2 years... first 2 times was fixed using IBM's disk fitness tool (but all data gone! ) and the 3rd time is unfixable (at least I can't lose my data for the 4th time). $99 dollar for this crap :???:
