That card is insane. looking at this review, it beats 2x7800's in SLi on its own!! in crossfire its almost double, how insane is that! i want one! shame its £464

It was already proven that the R580 had alot of potential, i dont remember what card it was now but one kinda famouse overclocker overclocked one of the new ATI cards to outperform 2 7800's in SLI as well.

Im glad ATi is finaly catching up :)

well this review was at stock clock speeds, which arent suppose to be much higher than their 1800 core, but it looks like this only overclocked by 20mhz on the core and mem. but hell, with a card that fast, why would you need to overclock it? :p

i know man, id expect 24 pixel shaders most, cos weve had 16, possibly 20 (not sure) but 48? wtf??

altho it would have been nicer if they put some extra vertex shaders in, weve been stuck on 8 for ages lol

Yes, finally Ati is beating nVidia. That card is insane, I'm sure it can be overclocked as well as other Ati cards, so it'll be unbeatable for a long long time.
Yes for a long long 3 weeks!

And I thought this was about an ATi card overheating

Just like this one will be within time.

Btw, what chip is the X360 using? Is it comparable to this one or should that one be even faster?

500 MHz custom ATI graphics processor; 10MB of embedded DRAM and 48-way parallel floating-point dynamically scheduled shader pipelines; unified shader architecture
looks like the 2 are very comparable :) maybe this one is a bit faster than the 360 tho, also you cant crossfire the 360's

It would take a demolition expert to operate the 360 safely if that would happen :p

NVIDIA just got their asses handed to them. The GPU war is nuts right now! I'm eager to see how NVIDIA follows up. They just released another mainstream card (GeForce 7300 GS).
