I have an old Mac PowerBook that I got the other day, and although the specs are pretty lousy (400MHz PPC, 320MB RAM, 6GB HDD ) it still ran pretty decently so I'd like to have it working for a simple web browsing PC.

It worked for one day that I had it but now when I turn it on I just get a Chime sound and the screen doesn't run and it doesn't seem to do much else. The Harddisk and little fan are still spinning though.

I've tried the tips I've seen on the internet, Resetting PRAM, Command+Option+P+R on bootup, etc but nothing seemed to help.

Any suggestions?
