Alright, I built myself a new rig (3.4 HT P4, 1 GB DDR2 533, PCI-E 6600 GT @500:1120), and I've been playing around with PCSX2. My old GF3Ti200 was hopeless, so it's the first time i've been able to see PCSX2 running at a good FPS in the bios.
To get to the point, the orbs in the bios were big blocks. I followed the config guide and set myself to fixed pipeline instead of pixel shaders 2.0.
Now my question is, should I use pixel shaders 1.1 or fixed pipeline?
What do pixel shaders even do? Is this an NVidia-only issue? Is it likely to be fixed with later drivers? Is it already fixed with some beta NVidia drivers?
This has been bugging me for a while... thanks!
