help a n00b please :D

I posted about this problem in the 0.8 newspost. As it looks like currently, it is a problem with the Firewire plugin system.....I tried FWlinuz0.1 also, and still no go. Then I managed to dust off a old 0.7 copy I had lying around....tested it, and it started up fine. So currently this is a bug introduced within version 0.8.

And yes, happens with the SSE(2) and normal releases

Got SP2 installed? If not, try installing it.

I have 4 machines here, Ive tried it on all of them, And no go, same problem.
hmm....I'm starting to wounder if it has anything to do with the programs running in the background. Most likely you installed the same programs on all 4 computers. Do a CTRL+ALT+DELETE and post your running processes list here
