i wonder how good newer games will perform on a computer with a budget class processor (sempron, duron, etc), but with a good graphic card like 6800 gt/ultra.
If you were to get a Socket 754 Sempron and overclock it a bit, it should perform decently. A Duron would bottleneck the card, unless you get it to overclock really well .
Depends on the processor and the game, but generally games are still pretty CPU-intensive. Having too little of either CPU or GPU power will produce slow results.
