Recently I've been having some issues with no$gba. now whenever I try and load anything it just sits at a black screen and stops responding. i have the original zip i downloaded it in so if I re-unzip it i can get it working but after i close it and try to open it again same problem happens. i guess i could just keep doing that but it's kinda irritating. i'm playing pokemon emerald right now if that matters (i can't open anything gba or ds after it stops working).

Please help. I'm experiencing the same exact problem right now except with Platinum not Emerald. (we all know pokemon is the only reason the gameboy and DS exist) I deleted the
no$gba.ini file but it didn't fix the problem. I tried redownloading the platinum ROM too and that didn't work. I downloaded the same exact rom though so should I try a new one or will my sav file work with other ROMS. (I still have my platinum sav file in my No$GBA folder) The ROM I was using and had no problems with up until now was Pokemon Platinum (E) but where I download it the person who posted mentioned that it was mistakenly named (E) and was actually (U). That doesnt mean anything to me however as I dont even kno what the letters stand for

And secondly, we don't support piracy. Read the forum's rules.

Nobody said anything about buying emulators. You clearly admitted that you have downloaded the game, by which we don't support.
Ok well can U actually BUY games for an emulator? How do U even know for a fact I didn't pay to download it from somewhere? Also my friend said certain games are actually legal to download for free if they are not ESA (or ERA, forget which) protected. I'm assuming most are protected but still. You're telling me they sell games for a program you download that was intended to get the games for free. (Hence the name No$GBA). Why would they support something like that when that's taking sells away from their Nintendo DS systems? You people clearly make no sense.

And btw the original guy who posted this admitted to downloading it as well. WTF is the difference from what he asked, and what I asked? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you may be not but this site is under jurisdiction where it is illegal to do so and by supporting anyone who admit they downloaded their game, they're putting themselves on deep ****.

and do you even know what emulator is at all? oO

he said he downloaded the program, not the rom *facepalm*

So what you're saying is there is a REAL No$GBA that you pay for? So what that I admitted that I downloaded it. The fact of the matter is that the No$GBA itself should be illegal considering it takes away buisness from Nintendo. It's the same thing with the ROMS so why not the actual system? You people have no logic

I said game, and not no$gba. Downloading game is illegal regardless of whether you have the original cartridge or not.

You're not getting what I'm saying.
If downloading the game is illegal for obvious reasons then so should downloading the emulators themselves. You can't go to the store and buy an emulator and have the company that made the system that it is an emulator of receive the money for your purchase. The only way downloading a GBA or DS emulator should be legal is if Nintendo authorizes it and receives payment for it but then how are you going to play GBA or DS cartridges on a ****ing computer? Obviously you would have to download the games as well. So therefore the guy who originally posted this had to have IMPLIED that he downloaded the Emulator and ROMS. I just said it straight up. And obviously emulators in general are going to be for the most part....ILLEGAL

You don't have the slightest clue what you are talking about!

Incorrect. Do some research and you'll eventually find methods of dumping (backing up) ROMs from cartridges to your PC that involve flashcards, Wi-Fi,...
If there weren't such methods for GBA/DS games, there wouldn't be ROMs anywhere for them at all.

Besides, at Emuforums, it doesn't matter whether you agree with conventions/laws or not, so it's better not to keep on talking about piracy... Emulators are legal as long as they don't contain copyrighted stuff bundled in them, and using them remains legal as long as the user doesn't enter into illegality (ie. by downloading games illegally (it depends on countries)).
