no$gba "speed" button

Well, we all know that playing Pokemon is a nightmare because the battles are so slooooow... Like, walking in a cave when a swarm of Zubats follows you. >,>
So I switch between 10% and "REAL" speed at the options all the time.

Battles work at 650% speed, which is just awesome. It's also great for walking in long and boring places.
But also, when you enter the option, the game goes "Whooooosh" and you have to put it back to normal speed because the game timer also goes whoosh and you can't choose what you want.

Entering the options every second and changing from 10% to real speed is really annoying. XD

Is there a button or something I missed? In GBA emulators, there was a speed button that did that. As long as you pressed the spacebar the game was fast, and when you didn't it was at normal speed.

If there isn't any, is there a way to ask for one in the next versions?🙇

No. Martin (the developer of the emu) doesn't care and/or do feature requests. If you're lucky he may add it sometime in the future. Sorry.
hey go to no$gba site and ask him....he is making great progress and likes feedback...tho he may just ignore it... no guarantees!the prob is that the turbo feature is smthing he probably wont think of cuz its uniquely odd.

BTW "speed button" is called turbo <and whooosh part was really funny!XD>
there is a turbo button : '+' (on the keypad)
there is a turbo button : '+' (on the keypad)
yeah i use it when playing ds but is there a way to change the button to the "space bar" or another button??
OMG!!! OMG!!! you're right! XD
wow + really works!!!

I changed the >^V< keys to the numpad, and now I speed up with +!

wow thanks!!!
problem solved! ^^

now we just need working savestates and the emu is almost perfect.
well yeah + key really works wonders on pokemon but my pinky starts to ache, but i just hope that its possible to change the button without using third party program.
=O thats awesome, i didnt know about the turbo until now
but does it speed up the clock aswell?
Thank you! But I use a laptop and have no numpad.. does anyone know of a third party program that does do this?
you could try the onscreen keyboard that comes with windows (start>accessories>accessability>on screen keyboard) then just click on the button there
Good idea, but it doesn't seem to work with no$gba.

If you are talking about the clock within a game, then just change your system's time. The clock inside a game will follow the time of your system.

i also use a laptop, and laptop do have numpad :p
normally laptop keyboard have a button called fucntion (Fn), teh label is in different color (blue, etc) and some other same coloured label, look for NumLk or numlock or something in common. press both button, Fn and NumLk, it'l activate numlock on your laptop keyboard. numpad key have the same label color as Fn.
No.. there's keys in the middle of my keypad that serve as a numpad. If I use numlock, keys like k, o, u turn into arrows, etc. But there is no numpad + sign on my keyboard, I've tried every key with num lock on. Just the + sign that I use alt for.
in my case, k, o u, etc, become number. the ; key become numcap's +
it would be awesome if no$gba had an "about:config" to change particular settings. I won't cry about it, but it would still be cool if it is included.

Question: on phoenix wright, should I hold down +, or tap it as I also tap the "scroll" button? I'm worried about burning up my processor if I hold it, but I'm also worried about screwing it up anyway if I keep tapping it. btw, this "speed up button" is really cool, hope Martin adds more bonuses to his emu in future revisions!

Anyway, thanks!
feature request threads never get but what the hell this one will make me feel better - please make a way so when i hit escape, it doesn't automatically close the emu. or at least an option would be nice. i use esc a lot and sometimes just out of habit i accidentally close my game and lose work. :\

How is this different from changing something in the emu options or not no$gba ini file?
