It's that time of the year again.... not! In fact it's the middle of August, so most people must be either with an extreme 'WTF are you thinking Proto!'! like face or just rampant indifference at this gimmick. Probably the later.

In any case, the purpose of this thread is to avoid the tendency that we have observed year after year that many of the awards are leaned towards things that were posted or happened in the last months before the awards. In order to avoid that, we created this sort of advanced nomination thread, for us to keep track of those things that happened during the first half of 2009. Kool, isn't it? It only took me 4 or 5 awards to figure this out.

The main categories we are interested in are:

Thread of the year
Post of the year
Desktop of the year
Artwork of the year
Avatar of the year
Signature of the year.

Things that don't require the whole year to be evaluated. If you think I'm forgetting anything just mention it here. And well... enjoy your preview thread! (or something).

tl:dr: This is a nomination thread. So the main thing we are interested in are nominations for the different categories

Guys I think you're missunderstanding the purpose of this thread...or I am...anyways rather than suggestions for categories what I think Proto is after is early nominations...so a sig that you see that's good, or an awesome thread...cuz anything you find awesome now may long since have been forgotten by the time the awards are at hand and then an item of lesser awesomness may win the award instead. This thread is basically here so we can avoid the rushed scramble at the end of the year to remember what we liked during the year. Basically an an intended archive of awesomeness we can refer back to once the awards come around.
