*******..... :p

I'm stuck commuting during college. I guess my brother screwed up really bad when he lived on campus, so I guess it's just the fear my parents have. Fine with me...I heard their network was censored as hell anyways.

well good luck. Please put a live webcam in your dorm :eek:nthepull

Pfft. Dorm life is great (at least where I'm at). Sucks though, they kicked us out for winter break. The doors were locked immediately at noon on Dec 17.

hehe, im here :D . Im starving I gotta go hit subway. Yeah, this is like time for the college/dorm noobs like me so the vast numbers of drunken peops arent here yet. My roommate is out also but from what i've seen from what he has left behind (I havent nosed through his stuff just what I see laying out) we have a lot of stuff in common so im pleased with this thus far ...whether or not he's an ass has yet to be seen (the others i've met in the hall seem at very least tolerable) :). Well, im going to go eat.

tolerating someone's existence and living with someone are two completely different beasts. good luck to you, as all my roommate experiences turned for the worst..

Living in the dorms is alot of fun. I lived there for 2 years and had a great time. Met people, hung out, partied, etc. My freshman year roommate and I ended up becoming best friends. As fun as it was though, I don't think I'd wanna live there again now. I'm past the time in my life where I wanna party and drink non-stop and meet lots of people. I've probably enjoyed living in apartments far more... having a bigger room that I don't have to share, an actual living room with a TV and stuff, a kitchen, more privacy, quieter, no public bathrooms, etc. etc.

Most schools in the US allow students to start in january (at least the public 4 year universities/colleges). Here at mines, we had probably 1/8 of the freshman class leave last semester, and gained about 50 or so students that are starting this spring. (its a small school, 800 freshman roughly)

And as for the difference between College and University in the US...
A University is made up of different Colleges. A University can have a College of Engineering, College of Business, etc. Its also is a different level of status as far as funding goes for public schools. We have a College, called Metro State College of Denver, that is applying for University status. When that happens, they'll have to split the school up into different colleges. It'll raise the reputation of the degrees coming from there, and tuition will be roughly the same.

Im playing blackjack. I have fun mostly playing with the other people there cheering each other, otherwise im a very serious player...I get a little thrill from winning of course but that really waned since last night.

can gambling be comparative to drugs when addiction is considered? If so I've been drunk, stoned, smoked cigarettes. I can honestly say that I only drink about once every 2 weeks or so, I dont smoke cigs anymore I never was addicted to them, and I chose to stop smoking weed and did so of my own voalition (sp?).
