here's a little addon i've found very usefull in the past and still do now
what is it ?
it basically tells you a bit about the game your playing
how far it's come in mame ,and sometimes what needs to be done ,plus any name changes that may have taken place
(if you can't find your beloved game this may be the reason why) this only works on the ui versions of mame not the official version
getting it to work
go to MASH's MAMEINFO and scroll down to where it says MAMEINFO.DAT 0.13*** (****kb)
(* stars = current version of mame)
unzip the file from the website then unzip it again with 7 zip
then plonk the dat file in your main emulator folder where your mame exe is ,
then when you fire mame up you'll get the information in the snapshots box under the snap of the game selected.
if you don't like it or get fed up with it just delete it and thats it it's gone
and thats that
it gets regularly updated sometimes not straight away so be patient
anyway i hope everyone finds it usefull
sadly no news about MAMEXT 0.136 (All in One) but for anyone who likes
mame xt there is MAME Plus! XT 0.136u3 available in both 32 and 64 bit
these versions come with installers that are placed in your program files folder,
this version of mameplus xt also comes with the ability to use image enhancements
(pictured below)
to use these first fire up your game then after inputing credits (usually number 5)
press p on your keyboard to pause the game, then press your tab key
(it's just under the number 1 key with two arrows that look like a diode simbol minus one leg)
then go to image enhancement (10th down) click on the enhancement you like the look of
then go down to return to prior menu, then return to game, then press p to unpause ,
"failure to pause before trying them will result in the emulator crashing"
that's right folks MAMEXT32 0.137 update 1 (Two in One) has been released although there has been some changes and as i'm currently using mamesicks uifx version i can't tell you what the changes are other than this from the site
XT Extra Aplications (Optional)*
* Enables function(All in One) extract in *\MameXT
