Seeing as how I work at circuit city :), I'd have to say that is a very nice tv, and if you get the same tv at walmart I garuntee cc will go 10% lower, as long as its the same model. Sony's are always up high in consumer reports also.
Can't go wrong with that T.V. It's very nice, I love Sony T.V's.:)
They always have a great picture ;) Have a 20" model in my room. Doesn't seem like much but movies look great on it!
Well he probably can't afford it for one, and although those TV's are HDTV compatible, they aren't the greatest. Believe me, I did my research. If you're gonna get an HDTV, get a DLP, LCD RP, Plasma or LCD. The CRT's are either too pricy for what you get or have ****ty quality.
personally, from what i have seen at a store, the CRT HDTVs offer up equal if not better quality than an projection based one. the details are much finer i think.
ummm, yea, everythign I have read and seen says exactly that, they recomend you stay away from LCDS and Plasma. The CRT's give far superior quality. In fact every review I have read of ANY other format pitted against a CRT based HDTV, the other formats have lost, by a huge margin....
Wow, you heard wrong. Plasma's and LCD's have superior quality over CRT's, but some CRT's are very great quality, but those models come with a price - A very very big price. The TV's D.D. linked us to are nowhere near the quality of an LCD or Plasma.

RP televisions are increasingly better every year. I have an LCD RP myself and couldn't be more happy with it. High Definition looks breathtaking on it. First time I saw it I nearly pissed my pants :p
I have no need for hdtv and it costs too much for me to bother with it.
Ya, plus channels are limited right now anyways. Only in few areas are there lots to choose from.
the only reason i talk about HDTV is to plan for the future...
Well we have gotten the rca 27inch true flatscreen monitor since they don't know when they will recieve the newere sony models,tv looks and sounds damn great with it's built in surround sound:).Gonna pick myselg up a new 20inch tv tomorrow with headphone jack for latenight pornovision:).
I have a CRT RP and it has awesome picture quality. Even for analog cable tv. And I got mine for an excellent price for the time (only $1,599 CAN back in Nov '04) The same model would go for ~$2,300 CAN (It's a Toshiba 51HX84 or something like that...I"m too tired to be accurate with the model number :p). Only problem I have with LCD RP and Plasmas are the dead pixels that will appear over time. CRT doesn't have that issue, thankfully :) It just has the burn-in issue (not sure if LCD RP and Plasmas and DLP do as well)...
Many T.V's boast about their apparent Surround Sound. How exactly does that work? You must need extra speakers right?
Its fake surround sound, the tv tries to throw sound around the room, to give the surround effect. And as a T.V. salesperson I can say that DLP, LCD, LCD RP, and Plasma are leaps and bounds better quality than a CRT, although CRT RP, is still the best bang for the buck.

Yes, this is real surround sound.
That's what I thought. Thanks Valcrist.:)

Haha, that's the way it's done Flare.
I got a 24" Apex TV that looks very similar (and probably performs about the same) at Sam's Club for $150 about a year ago... Sony seems a little expensive.
