yea i meant ps2.0 and hdr for ati cards in SC:CT i was happy that i messed up the titles. (note do not bash because of me letting yall know about the patch i not in the mood of slaping people with my guitar becase they rather bash then take the info, also if you do this sux or that sux i will ignore you}

the patch that people with Dx9 ati cards been waiting for.

it adds support for ps2.0 and HDR for ati cards, yes ATI cards can do HDR. but in a diffent way that nvidia does it.

so no more well go this because you need this to do ps3.0 in SC:CT as a reason no more. i knew it was a matter of time.

so now i will go out and buy SC:CT whenever i get money.

i hate how SC:CT uses starforce copy protection scheme... i don't like the idea of copy protection installing low-level system devices and altering my whole IDE chain startup everytime I reboot the computer.

Also, SF doesn't uninstall even when you uninstall SC:CT. If programs specifically aim for the starforce drivers, they can get access to your system's low level routines.

It's really good copy protection, I suppose, but it only hinders the end user.

That's why I don't plan on buying any ubisoft games that use it, even tho SC:CT looks really good.

the newer versions of starforce crash daemon tools and alcohol120, i think is an overly brute force method of stopping piracy, I will never install another starforce game on my comp because of that fact, i dont like the thought of some random software that isnt even declared in some games can indescriminately crash programs on my comp without warning, and then even when you get rid of the starforce drivers the crashes still persist and you have to edit loads of registry keys just to get alcohol and daemon tools to work again.

I think I got lucky with StarForce - all it does is not recognize my authentic disc in my drive, it doesn't seem to screw anything else up on my system (yet). Really annoying, because now that I've determined I need another drive to play this game I probably won't do it, and now I'm stuck with this other piece of software I didn't ask for to slow down my boot process. In short, blegh (good game, though).

Oh, in case you were infected, you can use this to remove it (apparently - I haven't tried... let me know if someone tries it and if it works).

EDIT: Anyone know of a site dedicated to list starforce games? boycottstarforce.org is dead as far as I can tell (probably killed by SF), so I'm not finding much in my searches (other than old lists people wrote out that are long out-of-date).

That would be fine if it didn't make Windows BSOD on bootup even in safe mode not giving me time to use it
