I got a new hard disk today
Its 500GB
As I was checking out the cover of the HDD it said "SATA 500GB, 7200, 32MB HDD"

what does the 7200 and 32MB HDD mean? extra space?

Its a Seagate BTW.

Standard. My Raptor is from 2006 and it's 10,000 rpm. Actually, a Samsung Spinpoint is probably faster then mine. Spyhop, have you seen the $14,400 SSD I/O? friggin crazy

No, link?

I'm actually holding off on SSD until 2 things happen
-It gets cheaper
-They integrate SSD storage directly into motherboards, bypassing SATA bandwidth limitations. They're actually working on this now. Someday in the future you'll be buying 5 TB motherboards. The speed is supposed to be insane.

Raptors are overpriced rip off's.

Sata300 > Raptor.

SSD' performance is limited by the OS at this time, Vista is meant to get an update to fix this eventually.
