It seems when I run Pete's OpenGL2 Drivers for the lastest graphics cards everytime I hit escape to change to another CD, the damn game freezes and gives me that lame ass Microsoft error. I've tried several different ones (Pete's OpenGL1.75)(D3D) and the other ones but I want to get the OPENGL2 driver working. I have a ATI 9600XT RADEON 128MBDDR. Is anyone else having problems with this card? Im pretty sure it might be my card but I dont know. Please help if u can much appreciated

its up to date Catalyst 5.5 for ATI atm, i made sure of that before i posted but im still getting same error crap. Microsoft says theres a problem with EPSXE.exe, I have no clue what it is the other GPU plugins work except for that one and i can't figure out why.

Heres the error I keep getting:

AppName: epsxe.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00000000

No I havent this might sound stupid but uh whats that????

Also if i change the resolution in the config menu as something other than what my desktop is when the game crashes and I hit dont send for the error it keeps my desktop at that resolution o_O

just tried the PSXeven and same error:

AppName: psxeven_v0.19.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.9 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00000000

This happens everytime i hit the escape key to get out of the program, the program will not pop back up like its suppose to.

I really think thats its my graphics card with the Pete's OPGL2 plugin, the other ones let me escape out but for some reason this one wont.

I'm running DX 9.0 is that a problem? well the newest DX i dont know what it is but i got it

Im using DX 9.0c, im going to try and download OMEGA drivers and see if they work ill keep u posted
Well the OMEGA drivers worked but the driver sucks, ATI's regular driver runs it ALOT better so im going to wait till OMEGA gets the 5.5 release and see if that helps me. Thanks for the help all

Hi, I'm experiencing the EXACT same problem as you (On hitting escape, ePSXe crashes with a generic Microsoft error). I have an 128 MB ATI Radeon 9800 Pro with the Catalyst 5.5 drivers. Since our situations are similar, I suspect there's some incompatibility between Pete's OPENGL2 video drivers and the new Catalyst 5.5 drivers. ePSXe ran fine when I was using the Catalyst 4.8 drivers so I'm fairly sure that the new drivers are responsible for the crashes. I still haven't found a solution however. Ideas anyone?
