I gave away a Playstation game I now want to repurchase off of EBAY but I'm unsure of the name. It was 'similiar' to Starfox but more 'serious' no cute furry animals, and you could blow up practically everything on the level. You occassionally docked with a 'mthership' and you could pick up crystals that'd change your weapons *you had to get 'combos' of crystals for it to work. It was made by 3D0. I 'think' it was 'Starfighter' but I can't seem to find it on EBAY and I can't believe it's a 'rare' game, so does anyone know the title? and if it is a rare game? :thumb:
I was stupid for giving it away... :hdbash:

...I think I remember that game from a PC demo, although I didn't know it was a console game at the time (it looked and played "console-like" though, which makes sense to me now :emb: ).

IIRC, it's name was "STARFIGHTER 3000". I liked the demo a lot, and couldn't wait for the full version to come out, but in the end, it never appeared at the stores... (...or I probably missed it somehow :p )

Does it have real actors on the in-game movies?
I can't remember, although I'd not be surprised if there were in the cut scenes...

Maybe it wasn't 3D0 because I can't remember any of the titles on the list...

Dammit, I wish I could remember the name of the title...

Try narrowing down your search, if you dont know the developer, maybe you can remmeber the year, genre, difficulty, etc,. All of these wont find your game but will produce a smaller list of games that would qualify, you should try gamespot or ign because they have advanced searches, but I dont think youll have mutch luck finding it here, cinse its rare and all.

So this game was released in North America right?

If you are really desperate you can browse the list of games on Gamespot or IGN, under psx, or another site that covers psx games. Sowly but surely you will find it :)

...as a dedicated Wing Commander fan, I can say it's definately -not- a Wing Commander game.
...after all, none of the Wing Commander games fill Paratech's description: "You occassionally docked with a 'mothership' and you could pick up crystals that'd change your weapons - you had to get 'combos' of crystals for it to work".

I still believe it's "Starfighter 3000" (that's the name I'm familiar with - it's the European release) , or just plain "Starfighter" as it (apparently) was called in the States.

...here's a GIF I found, that portrays what the game (more or less) looked/played like:
