Could someone tell me how to configure EPSXE on a Compaq Pressario 5510.
This is a small description:
Processor: Pentium III at 1Ghz
Video: AGP 11MB on Motherboard
RAM: 128MB
Sound: On Motherboard
OS: Windows XP

This is my first time configuring EPSXE on my machine. I dowloaded many if not all of the pluggins that i could find so with a little luck i may have wath you tell me

First the game. I was triyng "Tactics Ogre". I get it to see but cutted and very slow motion (like a frame every 2 seconds) .

As for the video i dont have the details here (cause the machine its a my house and saddly i have to work) but as i already said its a AGP with 11 MB motherboard integrated. I will try to get the details form compaq and posted when i have them

I think i got the video card in the motherboard: S3 Savage4, 4XAGP integrated graphics (VT8375)

Okaley doakely.
First of all, make sure you have updated drivers for your card, then try useing the PEOPs soft plugin with this configuration.

Plugin: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.1.14
Author: Pete Bernert and the P.E.Op.S. team

Resolution/Color:
- 640x480 Fullscreen - [16 Bit]
Stretch mode: 0
Dither mode: 0

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Misc:
- Scanlines: disabled
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

As for sound, make sure the top 3 checkboes are enabled, then use the Eternal SPU plugin

• In Directsound
• With a 22ms buffer
• Using thread audio out
• With the top game fix enabled

Kane: he's not going to need any sort of updated videocard drivers if he uses PEops software plugin.

also, i suggest the Eternal Lite plugin, it's a little easier on your slower CPU.

Using built in MS drivers would most likely be quite slow. It's best to prevent any problem like that up front.

I selected Eternal full for the first game fix, as I'm usure if it needs it or not.

Bad Luck

it did not work, i try it all night and the best i could get was a 1 frame per second display with ugly resolution and no red, no sound. I guess mi machine is just to slow to run it or the graphics hardware is just to wimpy. Even so VGS runs pretty well in mi machine, but has problems with the save in Tactics Ogre. I will see if i have better luck with 256 RAM.

I'd say the problem is drivers. PEOPs shouldn't run that badly on any card, regardless of how **** it is

1Ghz, and 128Mb of ram is plenty to run ePSXe and Tactics Ogre. I agree with Kane, it's probably the drivers.

Hey, I ran Front Mission 3 on a pathetic Intal Pentium III 450MHz, 32MB SDRAM, furthermore a 4MB ATI RAGE II+AGP card. It runs at about 32-48fps...without frame-skipping...

Im begining to think that a frien told me the true. Maybe it's not the system but the monkey sitting in front of it :laugh:

The only problem with gettin the drivers is that ****** compack wont give it to me if not on a cd, that would not be a problem shall i not live in Mexico.

Will tell you if i get any progress, or i change my machine watever it hapens first.

I dowloaded the graphic driver and follow kami instructions. At first it didnt seem to work but after givin a reset to epsxe it al went smooth.

Glad to hear you go it working. I've always gotten the drivers for Compaq computers from Compaq.com.
