Graphics: Great (graphic errors but well, its the only emulator that show stuff)
Sound: Bad (it ends after a while)
Controls: Lightgun and Coin-OP not emulated so you cant bypass the atract mode
Other: Slow as the continental drift, but you know ... not the point of MAME

Odd Confidential Mission does have sound with Makaron...when I run it. Maybe you have a bad image.

However keep in mind Makaron also runs better with Jap bios...that said I did try out Confidential Mission with Jap, USA, Export and all three did have audio.

You may want to try converting your Mame assets with my converter and double checking SHA1's to see if they are the same or not.

It supports Demul, Makaron and NullDC Cart's and Disc's...Demul will require IsoBuster is installed, and further that IsoBuster is using English as the interface language...or it'll fail.

Currently it only supports what was released for Mame 0.131 and only converts Naomi 1 Disc's...but all Cart's.

Naomi Converter FYI
The Mame: input area is required...and must lead to your Mame Assets folder.
The ROM: input area is required...and should lead to where you want the output files to land.
The ZIP: input area is optional...it should point to where you want zipped files to land.
The Conversion Drop Down sets the type of conversion and for what target emulator.
The Archiver Drop Down sets the compression type for stored zip files.

Here are some Loaders for use with Frontends.

Loader Downloads:

Users can exit using ether the ESC key or whats predefined by their FE, or digital gamepad\Joystick users can exit with a combination of POV or Joystick1 Upper Left + Buttons (4, 5, 6) pressed all at once.

Demul Command Line for AFE is:
Demul_(Naomi)_Loader.exe "[ROMNAME]"

Makaron Command Line for AFE is:
Makaron_(Naomi)_Loader.exe "[ROMDIR][ROMNAME].[ROMEXT]"

NullDC Command Line for AFE is:
NullDC_(Naomi)_Loader.exe "10" "nullDC-Naomi_1.0.3_mmu.exe" "[ROMDIR][ROMNAME].[ROMEXT]"

NullDC's...command line is different as its broken up Loader, Time Delay, Executable, RomPath\RomFile. Time delay is in seconds, and ideally should be set short enough to where the Naomi Splash screen is seen and not hidden.

how did you try on mame as it dont load on any mame i have tried, also are the graphics better of mvsc2 naomi compared to the dreamcast version?

is there any emulator that can run the mvsc2 rom?

hi guys deunan says The mvsc2 file must be patched and the decrypted data added to it (at the end) for Makaron to run it properly. Please follow the explanations in the ReadMe included in the archive.
The resulting image should be 143 242 752 bytes long.

any chance of an update of the Naomi Converter fyi as i've no idea where to get the DEScrypt.exe or gdrom2rom.exe.
or do i actually need them or do i just update the rom.ini and chd.ini?

MVSC2 runs perfect on nullDC naomi but there is no NVram with nullDC naomi. Makaron T11/1 plays it at full speed as well. T12 will also play it but it's a bit slower. From what the dev was saying on live journal the T12 is aimed at dual core at the moment.
