It won't power up past the "RED" light, could it be the power supply or is it toast?

I just played it a couple of days ago and upgraded the Wii, but when it reset it was fine.

I have NOT hard or soft modded the Wii.

I tried having it unplugged for 3 minutes and plugging it back in.

I removed the memory stick and the sensor bar and tried booting it.

It is out of warranty.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

It looks like it may cost me $100 to get it repaired...

mmm sounds like a power supply problem... in that case you will have to replace it with a new one. sometimes fuses tend to blow but is very rare on Nintendo consoles so am not sure if thats the case.. anyways you can use a multimeter and check them in case you know how to do that..

sadly i don´t live near you as i can fix that quite easy(of course it depends on how hard the problem is)

How about opening the Wii and checking if something seems burn, if the Fuse is fine, etc.... If you don't know anything about electronic equipment then leave it alone and take it to a store to get it repair.
