Congrats on your new rig.My new rig should be here in a couple of days (hate paying by money order, woulda got it last week if I could pay for it faster). Anyway, I didnt go SLi cause it will be easier for me to upgrade in the future (since, iirc, the cards must be identical), and it would be better to have 2 6800 GT's than 6600 GT's.

Nice rig. Where's the harddrive at in the money equation? I remember my sata 250gig harddrive set me back extra 130 bucks. If you gonna get one i would recommend a Western Digital Sata 250 gig harddrive if you can find low price like it did. If your old drive has 7200 rpm it should fine i guess.

To answer that real quick, I was going to get a Seagate 74GB 10,000 rpm harddrive, but in the end it was too mush money for my taste. I mean I could afford it but I just was going to waste $180ish on a 74GB drive. So I'm going to take the 120GB drive out of my current comp. I'm debating whether I should wipe it out and reinstall XP or try to see if I can get this paration to work in my new comp.

Reinstall XP. Trust me, it's worth it ;). Your new computer might not work right unless you do so (different chipset, video card, etc.)

You don't need to reformat you can just re-install XP ( it will remove all settings etc, but that's about it )

Big problem! The motherboard needs 24 pin power connection and my PSU is only 20 does that mean I need a new PSU. Some please help!

*edit Found out that they have converter that convert 20 to 24 pins... Going to rush to staples then circuit City and maybe best buy to see if those places have them.

Personally I would suggest getting a PSU with the 24pin, since what I have seen , is that most 20 pin on their AMPs will usually not be enough. I suggest you checked it out first before getting just a converter, or you may find the motherboard not POSTing or if it does, have very unstable power.

I'm going to try a converter. The worse that could happen is I burn out the motherboard... It's just cheaper. I really think this is bs because I look around and can't find a 24 pin PSU around here. So sorry to get you all excited, maybe in 2-3 days I will be able to boot up.
