Dont know how many of you read Slyck P2P News but the MPAA has been on a roll lately.

They are suing lokitorrent , raided a college kid for 200,00 in pirated software , and arrested a 20 year old girl for hundreds of pirated albums. They are targeting all major torrent trackers and have already shut down many, At this rate I think they could win eventually.

It's almost scary to download off BT anymore, you never know who's watching that tracker and waiting for unsuspecting IP's.

They seem to hit easy targets.

The majority of file sharers who pirate don't even live in the US.

China, Russia, India, etc...

MPAA/RIAA will have little or no authority in those areas.

It'll never die. It's like the war on drugs, or terror, or whatever else. Some big fish will go down but it'll never die

As Kane said it will never die. Even if BT isn't used anymore, give it a few months and I'll bet we'll see something new. P2P is evolving and isn't slowing down anytime soon. ;)

last time I check, the MPAA didn't control hentai

the probably of you being picked out of a 300 seed/peer torrent is about 0.3%.....using peerguardian or protowall, that percentile will be even less.

Sygate seems to be the most P2P-friendly firewall I used to date....always blocks the attempts made by comcast's abuse center :p

even if P2P is "defeated", it will go underground instead of attract media attention

eh killing us would be sufficient actually ;) or you must have an autosearch and loader for your p2p application whichs keeps going on (and an hdd to back it up ;))... it would otherwise only continue until downloading has finished :p

nevermind my ignorant rant thats just my mind going on autopiot once again ;) older members know I sometimes do this ;)
