and i want to ask can i put 45nm cpu on my motherboard

because i want to put in my mb Q9650
attitude unwanted. lest you want to swallow the powersupply rather tneh use it.

i did not understand you mean that if i used the 45nm on my mother powerd the i will use more power form the power supply

To the OP: Dude, what kind of hardware you planning to run? oO 1200W is very very *insert another hundred "very"s* overkill unless you plan on running something like GTX295 SLI with a quad-core clocked to 5GHz! (even then it's excessive)

Based on your current specs, 400W is perfectly comfortable (even 300W would do).
